Rostov Stadium

Populous was selected to design Rostov Stadium. Congratulations.
Architectural Visualization

Populous is internationally recognised for its sustainable approach in designing sports and convention centres,  and that commitment to sustainability will be demonstrated with the Rostov project, which will be part of an ongoing green city project designed to protect the surrounding wetlands from other developments.

Furthermore, Populous is renowned for its ability to design venues in such a way as to effectively showcase a host city throughout a major sporting event and then effortlessly transform the space to leave a lasting legacy for the city.

Rostov Stadium is for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Following their work in the Kazan, Saransk and Sochi sports arenas, Rostov Stadium will be their fourth stadium.
Architectural Rendering
The Stadium will be built near the Sea of Azov. A large shade structure will be designed to encourage natural light as it protects fans from rain or wind. The stadium will initially hold 45,000 soccer fans before reducing the seat capacity to a more practical 25,000 after the games are over. It is expected to be completed in 2016.

A New Sustainable City in Meixi Lake

"Over the last 10 years, China's cities have grown in two ways: by increasing density within the historical cores, and by adding new cities adjacent to the old," said KPF principal James von Klemperer. "The latter phenomenon has resulted in a twin city paradigm. Thus, we have Shanghai's Puxi and Pudong, Beijing's old center and new CBD. Nanjing, Suzhou, Hangzhou, and many other cities have sprouted new towns."
ARCHITECTURAL RENDERING
Kohn Pederson Fox Associates (KPF) has released a master plan for a new sustainable city in Meixi Lake in Changsha, China. The project from scratch, the urban development is set to cover 120 million square feet and house up to 180,000 residents.

James von Klemperer said that, in a new town such as Meixi, new urban innovations can be integrated into the design.

"We can combine water transport with localised energy production, cluster neighborhood centres, advanced flood prevention and water management, and urban agriculture," he said.

"Meixi is an experiment in future city planning and building. It will serve Changsha as a new CBD, but it will also serve as a paradigm for other Chinese city planners. It's a kind of live test case."

The Project of Adams Fleming House

The project of Adams Fleming House was designed by Levitt Goodman Architects.
An introverted plan strategically shuts out the auditory and visual noise of the city and gives Peter and Debbie the opportunity to enjoy the quiet fugue of their home and their fine collections of modernist furniture and contemporary art. The private areas of the house are nestled into one corner, with the kitchen, dining and living rooms forming an "L" around them. These are bathed in sunlight and feature panoramic views of the gardens through oversized windows that were once the garage doors. The bedrooms and bathrooms are raised on a platform, creating domestic ceiling heights as well as much-needed storage underneath. A second storey was added with a large open studio space for work and musical jam sessions (the clients play bluegrass strings). The roof is prepped for a future roof garden that will create the impression that the house is floating in a field while also tempering the temperature and air quality of the house.

The garden is a successful mismatch of styles, including an outdoor dining room, a fountain plunge pool, a vegetable garden, a French-style orchard, as well as beds of native plants and grasses. Amid such dense planting, one can barely see the Goodwill donation trailer that sits in the supermarket parking lot just over the garden wall.Much charm comes from the elements that illustrate the house’s rich collaborative spirit.
For example, Levitt Goodman composed a wall around the living room fireplace with panels of steel found on the site; the client then rusted and waxed them to a red, velvety appearance. Levitt Goodman designed an ensuite bathroom in which the client created an unusually shaped concrete tub, custom-fitted to his wife’s proportions.

The project not only cleaned up a brown field site and infused a richly-planted garden, it also incorporated energy-efficient systems that were rare when the project began. These include radiant floor heating, on demand hot water, plenty of large, functional windows, skylights and “Sun Tunnels” that bring natural light into the heart of the house where there are no external windows. Looking forward to creating architectural rendering and architectural visualization for more architects.

Eli and Edythe Broad Museum

As a common staff in a company and a get-common-salary staff, most of the time I can only see the world through the internet.

Zaha Hadid is a famous female architect. I've seen many of her architecture design on the internet. At the same time, our company has a cooperation with her on creating architectural rendering and architectural visualization. Today I saw Robert Landon's article about his experience exploring Zaha Hadid's newly completed Eli and Edythe Broad Museum in Michigan.

The architecture is the complex, light-catching carapace that first reels in the eye — a fine shock after the brick, neo-Gothic buildings that define the rest of the Michigan State University campus. Draw closer and its undulating fins, opening and closing in rhythmic asymmetries, begin to seduce the mind. In some places scrunched up into sharp angles and in others allowed to breathe for longer stretches across the low-slung facade, the fins seem to be the expression of some higher, grid-bending equation.

In a half-conscious attempt to solve the math, you begin to circle the building. At certain points, the fins spread wide enough for generous glimpses inside, but as you move keep moving, the inner secrets vanish again behind the metal lattice. In the same way, the relentlessly kinetic carapace tantalizes with, but ultimately eludes, any logical or definitive summing up. What is certain, though, is that, by the time you’ve come full circle, you’ll have grown quite curious to see what is going on inside.

The footprint of the two-story building is relatively small. In response, Hadid said at the museum’s opening that she deployed trapezoidal shapes to “explode the site and stretch the space in a hidden corner of the campus. Rather than solemnity, silence and reverence, we wanted to create a sense of dynamism.”

My Dream House

My dream house is a small bungalow, with green lawn around, peaceful. Today I saw it.
3D Rendering
It is Villa Garavaglia, designed by Buratti+Battiston Architects. This project is a part of a long research about the house and the domestic interior that Buratti+Battiston Architects worked out in these years with many projects of houses in suburban areas of Milan.

Buratti+Battiston Architects designed also interior and furniture, and in all the rooms of the house the quality of the space is gained by clear and severe finishing exalted by natural light. The palette of the materials used in the exterior is composed by white plaster for walls, teak wood for windows, gray stone for floor and copper for the roof.
Architectural Visualization
The relation between inner and outside spaces and the research for a design process that can link space articulation inside with volumes composition outside are the main features of this project. This is a house for a family of three, parents and a daughter, where day and night areas are placed in the ground floor, and a studio with guest room is in the upper level just under the roof. The one-lean roof, the main compositional and typological element of the project, is folded and cut to design interior and external spaces of the house: a big double-height living room is placed beside external patio covered and open to the garden.

Nice Stone House

We seldom see such architecture.

We often create architectural rendering and 3D visualiation for architects, but seldom such architecture. We usually create commercial rendering, villa, real estate residential and so on.

It is a stone house designed by Vo Trong Nghia Architects. It is located in Dong Trieu, Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam, a quiet residential quarter beside the way to Ha Long Bay from Hanoi. A rising green roof and walls composed of subdued color stones in dark blue create a landscape, which stands out in the new residential area.

To create a wall with smooth curvature, cubic stones with 10cm thickness are carefully stacked. Consequently, the wall performs the play of light and shadow. Massive and meticulous texture of the wall generates a cave-like space, which recalls the image of a primitive house.

The rooms surround the oval courtyard, making a colony-like relationship with each other. Circulating flow runs around the courtyard and continues to the green roof, connecting all places in the house. This courtyard and green roof compose a sequential garden, which creates a rich relationship between inside and outside of the house. Residents discover the changes of the seasons and realize their wealthy life with the nature, thanks to this sequential garden.

Urban Planning

3D Visualization

Efficiency and the record breaking timelines in which Chinese developers have delivered these large-scale projects have always been keystones of the country's industry. Baced on quality and safety practices, a high standard of workmanship and international collaboration is also becoming a workplace benchmark.

BIG architects are adding the centerpiece to one of China's more highly anticipated urban planning developments, releasing plans for the $2.35 billion Rose Rock International Finance Centre for multi-faceted design firm SOM’s masterplan for the Tianjin Binhai New Area CBD.

The architects explain that the building will be a new "centre of gravity" for the commercially focused city area, adding that it will create an "architectural landscape of urban plazas and roof gardens designed to stimulate and cultivate the life between the buildings."

Kinds of Interior Design

How many people know minimalist interior designs? Today I read an article about minimalist interior designs. Minimalist interior designs are for the ones who like to have spacious rooms and like very little furniture. Houses with minimalist designs are clutter free and have lots of space. Such designs are for the ones who like their homes to be simple place to relax. Here we can see some designs.

                           architectural rendering

                           architectural visualization
Sydney’s 1 Bligh Street is an architectural icon that is continuing to receive recognition both nationally and around the world.Standing as Australia's first green skyscraper, 1 Bligh Street reached the pinnacle of architectural acclaim when it was awarded the title of Australasia's 'Best Tall Building' by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.  The building, which is designed by architectural firms Architctus and Ingehoven Architekten is a testament to modern green innovation.
The win marks the first time an Australian building has been awarded a 'Best Building' title. Green buildings are increasingly winning 'best of' accolades in each sector. It is this strong recognition for holistic buildings that are green, functional and aesthetically pleasing that is motivating a new generation of industry members to design in a way that meets these high standards.
Four buildings in total have been handed down the title of ‘best tall building’ from across the globe in each of their regions. To be awarded this title, buildings had to show design and technical innovation, sustainable attributes and an ability to enhance both the cities in which they are located and lives of those cities'inhabitants. Committee chairman Richard Cook of Cook + Fox architects states that these elements are vital to achieve the highest quality of modern skyscraper design.

Architecture Competition

As we all know, Pyramids are miracle and very popular in the world. They still stand as some of the most iconic and significant feats of engineering and architecture, setting the foundations and blueprints for future generations of industry.

When the call went out to design a new modern icon for the city of Giza in Egypt, it piqued the interest of many. In fact, no less an authority than the World Architecture News labeled the call for submissions the world's largest architecture competition.

Many architects submitted their designs and were competing for the chance to design the new Grand Egyptian Museum. The competition attracted 1,557 designs, with architectural firm Henehgan Peng Architects delivering the winning design. The jury highly appreciated the simple elegance and the refined expressive qualities of the project, together with its functional clarity.

Magic Paper House in America

It was reported that in order to test insulation of paper, engineer and inventor Ellis Stenman in Massachusetts began to build paper house with waste newspapers in 1922. Surprisingly, besides the wall is made of papers, the furniture inside the architecture is also made of papers. 88 years have past, the house is as solid as it was except some outermost wall papers peeling off. Now the magic paper house has become architecture wonder of advocating environmental protection of life concept and local landmark tourist attractions.
All the house walls are suppressed step by step with one paper and the other and reaches 1 inch (2.54 centimeters) thick. In order to prevent water leakage, Stenman coated walls with a layer of light waterproof lacquer.

Let's see the furniture inside the house. The table, chairs, lamp holder even a piano are all made of papers and sturdy & durable. How to do this? He made a kind of bond with flour, water, and apple peels and bond newspapers together. Magic! Now the house is taken care of by Stenman's niece, Edna Beaudoin.
At Stenman's time, there are not vogue words like "Low-carbon green" "recoverable garbage", etc., but Stenman has had environmental consciousness. He knew how to use recyclable material to build house.

I'm expecting to see the real and magic paper house. But I have no chance now. If possible, somebody draws architectural renderings and makes architectural animation for it, we can see more realistically. Architectural visualization can reach the realistic effect.

2012 Venice Biennale

2012 Venice Biennale is coming and will be opened from 29th August – 25th November 2012. Many architects, urban designers, developers, etc. will participate. Zaha Hadid Architects, famous architects,  pays homage to the historical lineages of collective research that has led to the major works of today’s contemporary architecture at the 2012 Venice Biennale with the installation ‘Arum’. This year’s Biennale theme ‘Common Ground’ shows how the work of the major protagonists of contemporary architecture – often regarded as independent individual creations – is in fact based on historical lineages of collective research. This is also true of the work of Zaha Hadid Architects. It is well known that the early work was initially inspired by Russian Suprematism. It is also a good exhibition for architectural rendering, architectural animation and architectural visualization companies.

Architecture Design Theory

Every country, even every city has its own architecture style. I have seen different country's architecture through architectural rendering and architectural visualization & 3d architectural animation our artists mcreated. Let's talk about the Design Theory in architecture.

Modernist Design Theory. Modernism in architecture was established in the early 20th century. Le Corbusier's iconic Unite d'Habitation in Marseilles, France, exhibit the principles and qualities of modernist architecture. Reacting against prior ornate architectural designs, modernist architects were interested in creating space and structure that simply provided the space and structure as needed. The idea of a simple building that framed the natural world outside is integral to the architecture of the modernist time period. Often, modernist buildings were referred to as machine versus nature, rather than integrating the building into nature surrounding it. The phrase "less is more" coined by architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe is implicit in the ideology integral to the clean, simple lines in modernist design theory in architecture.

Post-modernism. A direct reaction to modernism that began in the early 1970s, post-modernism integrates more ornamental and decorative elements into buildings. The architecture itself initially had roots in its modern counterparts, but with more decoration and inadvertent angles. As time has passed, the buildings have become more sculptural and less rigid. The sculptural forms show an apparent reaction to the simple modernist lines, creating a new look and movement. As time has progressed, post-modernist architecture has evolved into more sculptural and playful forms, such as the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, designed by Frank Gehry, and the Centre Georges Pompidou museum in Paris, France, designed by Richard Rogers.

Contemporary Architecture. Generally describing architecture created in the past 20 to 30 years, contemporary architecture has greatly changed with the times. The advancement of computers, heightened conceptual thinking and insight into recent architectural styles have created a unique style that has not been created with architecture before in this contemporary era. Rooted in post-modernist principles and arguably sometimes existing as post-modernist architecture, contemporary architecture continues to push the envelope, aiming to create something new. While these periods continue to influence and overlap with one another, the modernist, post-modernist and contemporary theories continue to influence each other, evolving from and building off one another.

Interoperability in Architecture Company

First, BIM means building information modeling. BIM dynamically consolidates all team members' input into one package to produce rich, three-dimensional plans. It optimizes the sharing of electronic information throughout a project, demonstrably reduces construction costs and speeds project delivery. It also enhances scheduling, cost estimating and code checking capabilities.

Architectural design teams use different software packages to produce building designs. While BIM software can deliver seamless and effective interoperability.

Industry leaders have appealed for greater software interoperability at the code level. As of 2010, leading design software producers are expanding interoperability between their software portfolios.

BIM's limited interoperability with other software, as well as its cost, learning curve, and robust hardware requirements discourage many design and construction professionals from using it.

Frontop supplies superb 3d rendering, architectural rendering, architectural visualization and architectural animation for architecture firms.

Coolest University Dormitory in the World (2)

In the inner courtyard of the residence hall, you see the main common areas, the kitchens and the common rooms, that contrary to nature seem to be hanging freely in the air, with a depth of up to 8 meters.
On the outside, the front of the residence hall is clad with the cobber-based alloy tombak and oak. The indoor areas are characterised by the smooth, unpainted concrete walls clad with birch ply and floors of magnesite
The raw, natural materials are both complemented and contrasted with the decoration of the residence hall created by the artists Mathilde Aggebo and Julie Henriksen. In the residence corridors, there are plywood-clad walls decorated with printed patterns contributing to all the corridors having their own unique characteristic.
The cylindrical main shape is transected by 5 vertical lines that visually and functionally divide the building into sections and appear to be continuous, open passages providing access from the outside to the central courtyard.
The total 360 rooms are all facing the outer side of the round structure. Common to them all is also the basic shape that can be clearly seen from the layout: as slices of a pie, the rooms are widest at the outer end.
We are undertaking a school 3d rendering and it's architectural animation. It also very cool, but it cannot catch up with the coolest one.

The tower is located in yongsan international business district, seoul, korea. The pair of skyscrapers are composed of stacked and rotated volumes which are a programmatic counterpoint to the conventionaltall building typology. By breaking down the scale and massing of the two high-rises into interconnected circular dimensions, the project proposes an alternative architectural and urbanistic response to the traditional repetitions of the cityscape.

Admirable Female Architects

Architects are admirable. Female architects are more admirable. Traditionally, architecture design is men’s profession. Actually, female can also do the job well.

Before I engaged in the architecture related field (architectural visualization field), I realized that even female has the ability to become a famous architect. I thought architecture design is men's profession. I'm absolutely wrong. Female architects are more admirable. Here's a list of 10 female architects that deserve recognition.

Michelle Kaufmann is California-based green prefab home designer. She designed for the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry.

Yen Ha and Michi Yanagishita are one of the only Asian-women owned architectural partnerships in New York City.

Winka Dubbeldam is well-known for her contemporary loft renovations. She is the principal of New York-based Archi-Tectonics.

Zoka Zola is Chicago-based architect and has created many award-winning homes.
Zaha Hadid is a British-Iraqi architect. Her design is full of fluid and curvilinear forms. In 2004, she won the prize of "starchitects".
We are proud of cooperating with her on some projects, like Beijing Wangjing SOHO Showroom architectural rendering, Beijing Galaxy Soho 3d rendering, Cairo Expo City architectural visualizations, Sinapore Farrer Court and so on.

Eileen Gray is an Irish architect and designer. She played key contribution to the modernist movement. Her adjustable-height side table is an icon of 1920s design, and her later career produced a small but beautiful collection of homes.

Kazuyo Sejima is this year's Pritzker Prize winner. She creates subtle, minimal buildings and mainly focuses on museums and educational centers.

Jeanne Gang is Chicago-based architect. Her recent green skyscraper, Aqua earned her international attention.

Maya Lin is an American architect and artist. Her work is minimal, but engages the viewer in quiet ways.
Rocio Romero is Missouri-based designer and well known for her minimalist prefab homes.

Tomorrow is International Women's Day

Referring to female architects, the first I thought of is Zaha Hadid architect. She is the first female architect we have cooperated with. We created architectural visualization, architectural rendering or 3d rendering, architectural animation or 3d walkthrough for her architecture design. She is probably the most famous female working in her field today.
Today there are many female architects. Who was the first qualified female architect? That's Architect and publisher Florence Mary Taylor (1879–1969).
Tomorrow is International Women's Day. Architects Sheila Hughes and Melinda Dodson will have a casual breakfast on International Women’s Day and share their experiences of being leading women in the architecture industry. The breakfast will be held at 7.30 am on Thursday, 8 March at Artespresso in Canberra.
Happy breakfast, happy International Women's Day.

Suzhou "Height" Repeatedly Refreshed

Suzhou is China's key scenic tourist city, one of the four China’s key environmental protection cities and also one of the central cities of the Yangtze River delta. Suzhou abounds in pretty girls.
With the development of Suzhou economic development, the city "height" is refreshed again and again. Half of 35 skyscrapers have been started to build.
In the first half of 2009, new area Shangri-la hotel was open. Its height is 232m;
June 17th, in the same year, Suzhou new landmark architecture-Gate of the Orient JinJiHu west bank began to build. Its height is 278m and it becomes the highest building in Suzhou;
During the construction process of Gate of the Orient, global 188 project, not far from the west of Gate of the Orient, occupied the "the highest position";
Within a year, Suzhou International Financial Center come up to the highest architecture. Its height is 450m;
This year Suzhou Central Square will break record and add 50m. The following is Suzhou Central Square architectural visualization/3d rendering.
Architecture becomes higher and higher? What does it stand for? Thinking…

WTO Architecture

Today I read a news about world trade center again. The WTO architectural renderings came to my mind again. The 3d architectural visualizations are impressive.
The news said that the No. 1 building of New York's world trade center cost $3.8 billion. It becomes the world most expensive office now. It is still under construction. Some people said the number is much higher about 700 million than the latest public forecast. The No. 1 building are being built at “9.11” WTO site. The construction fee is more expensive than traditional office building. It is largely attributed to the security costs.

Odd Architecture in the World

What's the oddest architecture in the world you've ever seen? Strange architecture brings different feeling to a city. Because they are unique and quite different from other uniform architecture, such as tree-shaped hotel, drunk house, upside down house, etc. Architects' imagination is extremely powerful and infinite. Let's see the following architecture.

Chinese character "八" (English is eight) shaped building-Wilson building. It is located in Chicago suburb.

Cracking to two parts museum. At the first glance, you must think it suffered an earthquake. Actually, it isn't a dangerous building, but a museum in Orlando.

This house doesn't have an official name. The wall and ground have a 135 degree angle. One wall connects with the ground. On the roof, a small flavescent chimney looks lovely. Absolutely visual effect.

Chech architecture-dancing building.

Poland architecture-drunk building. It's an accessory building of a thriving shopping center.

Imposing Earth House

I came across Peter Vetsch's design-earth house. It's an amazing design and distinctive concept. It makes full use of natural environment and leaves less carbon footprint. A man named BRIAN said like this (not original remarks), when man first walked the earth, they lived in cave and underground houses which provided safety. It seems that we have come full circle with the implementation of earth homes in today’s society. The ecological benefits are simply undeniable! Absolutely right!
I think architecture which has close realationship with environment can get more and more attention.
Our company has created many architectural renderings or architectural visualization and 3d walkthrough for modern architecture which are also very nice, but less imposing compared with earth house.

SOHO China Rendering Scolded

It was happened in July, 2011. An ordinary 3d rendering aroused a hot debate "What kind of architecture the Shanghai Bund needs". The architectural rendering about the bund project was sent in microblog. It is a harmonica-shaped architecture, standing in "the world Expo of architectures", south of the bund. "The architecture style is strange and different from others. It cannot be involved in the landscape of the bund", many people hold negative attitude to the architecture. They thought it broke the old Shanghai style. No matter the architectural style is controversial, it is said that it will be completed in 2014.

By History Development Schools:
1. The ancient Greek architecture style from 800 BC to 300 AD;
2. The Roman architectural style from 300 BC to 365 AD (such style is
just the origin of European architecture);
3. The medieval European architectural style, from 400 to 1400 year
(at that time, castle type building is in vogue);
4. The Renaissance architectural style, from 1420 to 1550 year

combination of classicism and Modernism.
5. Contemporary Review: 1960-1975, grandiose appearance, rarely use
adornment.
6. Postmodern style: It started at 1980.
Our company mainly creates architectural visualization. Through architectural renderings, architectural animation, virtual reality, etc. for types of architectures, I have got the glamour of architecture. We hope to create more 3d renderings for kinds of architectures.

Zaha Hadid, Design Concept

Today I surfed on a forum and saw a topic like this "Can anyone point a name of a famous architect known for his work with cool concepts?" The architect I first thought of is Zaha Hadid. She and her works impressed me deeply. I have read some information about her. She said something like this (I cannt remember exactly, but the meaning is similar)-I also don't know what the next building will be like; I continue to try all kinds of media variables, in every design, new invention appears. Architectural design is like the artistic creation, you don't know what is possible, until you actually conducted. When you transfer a group of geometric figure, then you can feel a building that has started to move. Zaha's design is full of imagination and streamlined form is outstanding.

Her works is seemingly ordinary, but boldly using space and geometric structure and full of flow sense. Her works reflects her own characteristics in different cities. "Zaha type" building imagination is deconstruction, no unified style, uncertainty, continuous curve type and floating feeling without gravity. We have cooperated with Zaha Hadid for several times and very glad to cooperated with her on 3d renderings, architectural animation or architectural walkthrough. Projects like Beijing Wangjing SOHO Showroom, Beijing Galaxy Soho architectural renderings, Cairo Expo City, Sinapore Farrer Court were created successfully. Looking forward to more cooperation on architectural visualizations.
