November, 2009, big Helsinki area composed by Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Lahti and Kauniainen, 5 cities, was awarded as "World Design Capital". September, 12-16th, 2011, designers of Helsinki held a media preview for the activity of "2012 World Capital-Helsinki" and announced that all activities will be started around the theme of "Open Helsinki-Integrate Design into Life".
Every corner of the world are changing greatly. In the past years, Helsinki was only a remote village. Now, it has become the bond of eastern and western world, the nearest pivot from Europe to Asia and the transfer station from America to Asia.
I'm expecting to see the mien of world capital. Whether there are the
3d renderings or
architectural visualization to demonstrate the world capital. I want to feel the cities' glamour ahead of schedule.
